Morgan starts her life in a bad situation, she doesn’t really know what she wants out of life. She’s never had anyone to look up to or help guide her in the right direction. She had it rough and never dreamed that it could get worse. However, she finds that it can and it does.

She learns what real hell is when she meets the husband that she doesn’t want to marry but isn’t given a choice.

Can she escape? She can and does, only to wake up and find herself right back at square one.

Warning! This is not your everyday fall in love romance. This book contains disturbing situations, strong language, graphic, sexual content – some forced, some not. If it’s a happily ever after love story that you are looking for, you should probably move on. If you are up for the ride, stick around and it may just turn into a love story after all.

Okay, I’m really not sure how I feel about this book. Now, that does not mean that it was a bad book, not at all.

In fact, it was extremely well written and it was easy to imagine yourself in Riley’s world.  Actually, it was too well writen, if that’s even possible.

I got so caught up in this book that I’ve been…off, for like three days.  I feel sad and happy at the same time and yet I feel so betrayed and hurt while feeling relieved.

I just can’t wrap my head around the feels, ya know?

Now the downside of this book is that after the little bit of excitement at the very beginning, it takes a long time to get to the next bit of “oomph”.

I was reading all about her day’s ins and outs and the ho-hum of her daily life that at one point I was considering giving up even though I loved Riley.

But, don’t you do that!

At almost halfway through the book it really gets going, like “boom” take this!

Huge plot twist and shit gets super interesting

  • RILEY/MORGAN – You’re going to like her. She’s been through hell in her short life and has had the balls to make the attempt at a new life.

She is easy to love and as the story of what she’s running from comes out, you just feel like “wow, girl. So glad you made it.”

She also has a great sense of humour. Especially when talking to her vagina (the traitor, lol).

I will say that as the book gets into it’s last 65 to70% I started to get very annoyed with her and was in a constant state of anxiety for her and because of her.  You’ll know what I mean when you get there.

  • DREW – You’re gonna want to throat punch this asshole. He’s a nasty piece fo work…but also sounds yummy as fuck too (typical).

He also knows what he wants in the bedroom. And although he’s a class A prick, there is always something undeniably sexy about a confidant dom in the bedroom, especially when he has the skills to back it up.

Now without giving too much away, shit changes and Drew is on the receiving end of things for a while.

DAWSON – Dawson is a super “nice” guy. You know the one, right?

The guy we should all want in our lives. Mr Safe. Mr Gentle.

The guy who is patient and understanding and gentle with you. And that’s what Riley needs when she meets him.

But I was concerned for her because if you really are turned on by the kink (even though Drew was an arse) then you are always gonna want it at times (trust me on this).

There is no escape from the darkness that’s always been in your soul for spanking and the sweet release of pain.

“I want to take you to bed, Ry,” he spoke with me as I leaned against the door in front of him. “But I don’t want it to be like that.” I snorted, “I warned you that I wasn’t normal.”

So although Dawson can be gentle while she heals, can he fuck her hard and dirty when she needs that too?

  • SEX SCENES – The sex was soo good. Especially when Riley started to get into her groove after finding herself and asking for what she really needed.

FINAL THOUGHTS – I loved the bits I liked but I also was disappointed in the bits that I didn’t like. Do you know what I mean?

Although it had a large chunk of dull and a long period of needless back and forth, it was still very good.

I’m just upset with a couple of characters in this book. I mean how could they do that to me? Whoops, I mean how could they do that to Riley?
